Safer Routes to School

We were thrilled to receive good news at the end of March from the Idaho Transportation Department. Our partnerships with the cities of Driggs and Victor have paid off (literally!) yet again with grants to extend 3 pathway sections in Teton Valley. After anticipated construction this summer, students will have easier and safer ways to get to school in the fall.  Driggs:

  • Elementary School Route on LeGrande Pierre.

  • Highway 33 Valley Centre to the Silverstar building.

Victor:

  • Old Jackson HIghway to Aspen St/Victor Elementary.

Pathways can be some of the hardest and longest-term projects to usher to completion. We want to thank the City of Driggs and the City of Victor for teaming up with Trails & Pathways to collaborate on on the planning, writing and editing of these connection-building grants that invest almost $1 million in the pathway system. Your support helps us be the good kind of squeaky wheel with government and pays for staff time working on application components. See the Teton Valley news for a full story on these local pathway projects.
