Join Teton Valley Trails and Pathways for our first Volunteer Trail Day this summer.
Volunteering for Trail Days during the COVID-19 outbreak will look a little different than normal, but will still be provide some much-needed maintenance and fun.
What's New:
You must sign up to participate prior to arriving at the work day. We will NOT provide or accept paper Acknowledgement of Risk waivers at the event, so please submit it ahead of time.
To minimize group size, volunteers will be split in to small work teams of 5-6 people. Teams will go out with at trail crew leader and work on dispersed trail projects.
You will be given a sanitized tool at the beginning of the work day. Please do not share tools with other people unless they are family members or household companions.
We will continue to follow social distancing guidelines recommended by state and local officials. We will work to keep at least 6′ apart.
Gatherings in numbers exceeding Idaho or Wyoming orders will not be permitted.
To eliminate a high-touch item, please provide your own water.
We will provide packaged Kate’s Bars, but we suggest you bring your own additional snacks and lunch.
Trail Projects: Pick the project area you would like to work on and we will do our best to accommodate you with a work team in that area.
Moose Creek Trail - Hike your way up Moose Creek with a trail tool and help clean drains and reroute water from flowing into the trail. There is also opportunity to trim back the brush and limbs encroaching into the trail corridor.
Meeting Place: Moose Creek Trailhead (Directions Here)
Time: 10AM – 4:30PM. You can leave early if you are not able to participate all day, but please ARRIVE ON TIME.
Distance: Work areas will be within the first 3 miles from the trailhead.

OR
South Fork Horseshoe Trail - One of Teton Valley's favorite multi-use trails needs some love. Multiple new springs and wet spots have shown up this spring and created some no-joke mud holes. Help us route water off the trail and repair the rough areas.
Meeting Place: Horseshoe Canyon Trailhead (Directions Here)
Time: 10AM – 4:30PM. You can leave early if you are not able to participate all day, but please ARRIVE ON TIME.
Distance: Work areas will be within the first 3.75 miles from the trailhead.

Recommended Supplies:
Water
Snacks and lunch
Appropriate clothing for weather. Be ready for all conditions.
Long pants
Closed- toe shoes
Sunscreen/Sun Protection
Insect repellent
Necessary medications (e.g. Epipen, insulin, etc.)
Personal hand sanitizer
Masks/ Facial coverings are not required, but we encourage you to wear one if you are comfortable doing so.
General Guidelines for Volunteers Regarding COVID-19:
Our number one priority will always be the safety of our volunteers and event participants.
DO NOT attempt to volunteer if you have:
Experienced symptoms that could be related to COVID-19 in the last 14 days
Been around anyone who has COVID-19 in the last 14 days
Traveled to any foreign country in the last 14 days
Been on a cruise or been in an airport in the last 14 days
Been to an event where more than 50 people were in attendance in the last 14 days
Feel ill or sick in any way, regardless of symptoms.
DO ask about any risk that may be associated with the trail work and DO NOT take part if you are uncomfortable with the level of risk.
