The TVTAP board of directors is excited to share that we’ve found an Executive Director with the skills and passion to lead Teton Valley Trails and Pathways into our next chapter. Dan Verbeten will be joining us in November as TVTAP’s Executive Director.
Dan first experienced TVTAP on a volunteer trail day in 2007, shortly after arriving in Teton Valley with his wife Amy. The work ethic of the group, the environmental recovery that was performed and the long-term benefit of the project made an impression on him. Dan continued his support of TVTAP and eventually joined the board in 2011.
“The hiring committee was very impressed by the quality of applicants we were able to attract both locally and regionally, but Dan was a clear stand-out,” says Megan Bybee, current TVTAP Board Member. “The genuine dedication to our mission as well as the community connections that Dan has developed were clear strengths that will help TVTAP continue to grow as an organization. We are excited to have Dan join TVTAP as Executive Director.”
Most recently, Dan served for two years as the TVTAP Board President, bringing a strategic focus and efficiency to meetings. Fortunately, he’ll still be sitting at the table, working to implement and execute the goals of the organization.
The board would like to recognize Tim Adams’ 11-year tenure at TVTAP and thank him for creating a solid foundation of programs, events, community connections and supporters (like you!) that will help Dan and the staff to build an even stronger organization.
TVTAP staff will use the month of October to transition between Tim’s departure and Dan starting full-time. Please join us in Welcoming Dan, his wife Amy and his daughter Greta to the TVTAP family.
Sincerely, TVTAP Board of Directors
