There is a lot of behind the scenes work at TVTAP that fuels grants, programs and events. One of those things is attending conferences and workshops. Our executive director, Dan, is the lucky one who gets to hit the ground with business cards in one hand and a notebook in the other. This spring, Dan will be attending:
• Idaho Walk Bike Alliance Summit. IWBA promotes active transportation and safety across the state. Their annual summit features workshops on bicycle and pedestrian design, advocacy, land use, funding options, health and wellness. Participants are trained on how to enhance these programs in their own communities.
• Wyoming Bike-Walk-Trails Summit. Dan attends this event, organized by Wyoming Pathways, to connect with agency leaders along with biking and walking supporters from around the state. TVTAP continues to benefit from a good relationship with Teton County, Wyoming, so it’s important to find out what’s happening in other areas of the state and learn what might work in Teton Valley, Idaho. The theme this year is “Pathways to Prosperous Communities.” Something that TVTAP knows a lot about!
• Idaho Falls Ski Club Spring Party. It’s for work. We swear! Dan was invited to make a short presentation at the club’s end of season party. This is a great opportunity to expand TVTAP’s influence in the region and engage supporters outside of Teton County. Plus, all the organizer needed to say was “80’s theme.”
Your support allows TVTAP to learn about new initiatives that could help our community and positions our organization as leader in advocacy and innovative transportation solutions. Thank you for helping us continue this important work!
