10K Loop (11.7K)
The 10K loop begins at the Horseshoe Canyon parking area. The course starts out on FS road 235 heading north, with a moderate to steep incline for approx. 1.5 miles and then a 1.5 mile descent and flat section until the turn off at Mike Sell campground (approximately mile 3). The course then leaves the road and climbs on single track trails through the woods, until reaching the Burgh Bumper trail junction with spectacular views of the Tetons. A fast downhill section follows on the well- maintained Bovine trail back down to FS Road 235, where a .7 mile section takes you back to the start. This is a fantastic course for all levels of runners, with enough climbing and descent to keep it interesting, but with very little technical and rocky sections.

20K Loop (17.46K)
The 20K loop begins at the Horseshoe Canyon parking area and heads east down FS Road 235 to the Mt. Manning Parking area, .7 miles from the start. This is the only section of hard surface running the race will encounter. From the Mt. Manning parking area, runners will follow a two-track FS road for approximately 5 miles. This section climbs gradually at first, with intermittent flat and downhill sections.
Near the turn off for the Long Ridge trail (at mile 5.5), the course gets steeper. Once the course turns west onto Long Ridge, the terrain is single track and more rugged. As the trail winds up to 7826 feet, there are two or three very steep but short rocky sections. On the top of Long Ridge make sure to look behind you for an amazing panoramic view of the Teton Range. Staying on single track, the course undulates along the open and scenic Long Ridge heading due west towards the South Fork of Horseshoe Canyon (approximately 2.5 miles). When the course reaches the turn off for the South Fork of Horseshoe, the trail will drop to the north, and participants will enjoy a sustained downhill section on a newly built and very run-able trail into the South Fork of Horseshoe drainage (approximately 3 miles). This is a very fast section of the race, and a good time to let the legs stretch out. The trail will take you back to the start, where the finish line awaits.
