Our final TVTAP Volunteer Trail Day is this Saturday August 2nd.
We will be working on Mail Cabin (not Horseshoe Canyon) and then having our final celebration thank you at Peaked Sports in Driggs. We will meet at Peaked Sports at 8:30am or you can meet at the Mail Cabin Trail Head at 9am**. Tools and water are being brought in by horse so you are welcome to bring your bike to ride into the work site. Couple of things to keep in mind:
- Bring Extra socks as you will get wet on stream crossing on the way in
- This is a LONG PANTS DAY, tons of thistle, nettles, gooseberry bushes, etc.
- Biting flies as wells so long sleeve shirts and bug dope are recommended
- As always bring lunch, work gloves, sun block, water, and a hearty appetite for work!
**Mail Cabin Trail-head is located just past Coal Creek Trail-head on the South Side of Hwy 31 just before you start climbing Teton Pass on the Idaho side**
This trail is a project of Mountain Bike the Tetons and we are excited to assist them with getting some of that dirt moving! Grand Teton Brewing is supplying the beer (2 kegs!!), great raffle prizes, and do not forget that Grand Targhee Resort will be raffling off a Season Pass along with some day passes for winter and summer as a way of saying thank you to our all our volunteers. If you are looking to get your $144 Discount on a 14-15 Season Pass up at Targhee you must attend all three days so do not miss out.
Do not forget that Peaked Sports will be hosting the after work day party and supplying tons of great food for all the volunteers!!
Many thanks to our other sponsors; Kate’s Real Food, The Nine Bar, and Laid Back Designs for the killer shirts for all volunteers.
We look forward to seeing you this Saturday for a great day!!
